This section is a compact reference for the names, numbers and identifiers used throughout the documentation: the agents, the principles, the layers and the deployment modes. The full specifications go into more detail. For example, Synedrix OS - Agent Registry gives the full entry for each agent, and Synedrix OS - Deployment Model Spec defines the deployment modes in full.

What is here

  • Agent registry: the 12 agents Synedrix OS ships, in three families (Control, Intelligence and Observability), each with a stable identifier, the layer it runs in and its decision scope.
  • Core principles: the 12 principles, numbered canonically and grouped into five clusters by what they protect. Principle 10 is the north star.
  • Layer taxonomy: the 12-layer architecture, with each layer’s purpose and what it must not own, and the five slices the layers group into.
  • Deployment modes: the three deployment modes (cloud-connected, self-hosted hybrid and air-gapped) and the invariants that apply to them.

How to cite them

Cite a principle by name and number, for example “Principle 4 (Governance before execution)”, and an agent by name and identifier, for example “Audit & Lineage Agent (os-agt-008)”. Principle numbering is fixed.

Where they come from

These pages are generated from the canonical data files (canonical/*.yaml) by scripts/gen_canonical_docs.py, and a continuous-integration check fails if they ever drift from that source.
